Kuraplan is a platform I designed to help teachers produce curriculum-aligned lesson plans, worksheets, and slides with the help of AI. I designed the end-to-end product experience and built the app in Next.js.
Teachers are burnt out. Most get home from school and work late into the evenings planning lessons and marking work. I knew AI had the ability to help, so I built Kuraplan and showed it to a few teacher friends.
The response was overwhelming. After launching, it spread virally in teacher groups and I had 1,000 teachers use it in the first 24 hours. Kuraplan has now been used by over 30,000 teachers, to create over 100,000 lessons.
Many teachers don't know what AI is capable of, so exposing the user to new ideas about how AI could help them has been a huge unlock. For example, I developed 20 "Prompt Tools" which help teachers understand the capabilities of the models.
Current models aren't perfect, so I made sure that every resource on Kuraplan is easily editable, with just a prompt.
Every day, I wake up to messages from teachers saying how much it's changed their work. Someone even told me they get to spend more time with their kids because of it.
